God will make a way
God will make a way
Along the paths of life I will reach out my hand
and rest it confidently in His warm grasp
knowing I am so closely and tenderly cherished
I need never fear.
Even when the way seems most lost
And I am in the dark, afraid and alone
He will make a way ...

Here I am, Lord
Here I am, Lord
Ready to do your work
Looking at this beautiful world of yours
and the tremendous need of my brothers and sisters
for my presence within it.
Here I am, Lord
like the Prophet Isaiah of old
Ready to do your work ...
I come before you in prayer ..
What is it you wish me to do?.

Bloom where you are planted
Sometimes we are born into disadvantageous circumstances ...
Sometimes we live in poverty or difficulty ...
Sometimes we are in rich circumstances, but we lack the blessing of love in our lives
Sometimes we are ill and afraid of death
Sometimes we have a lisp or a cleft palate
Sometimes we have difficulty walking
Sometimes we feel unintelligent
Sometimes life is just difficult!
BUT...
Whoever we are
Whatever our life circumstances
We are meant to be.
God has created us with a purpose
Perhaps our lisp makes others stop for a moment to concentrate and listen with intensity to the
wisdom of what we say ...
Perhaps our cleft palate and our need to reach out to health personnel to heal the palate helps us
to develop a deep understanding and compassion for the suffering of others and
gratitude for care
Perhaps our difficulty with walking slows us down to have time to listen to the whisper of
God's Voice deep within us
Perhaps when we feel unintelligent inspires us to learn more to help others, and ourselves
WHATEVER ...
Our particular gifts
Our particular circumstances
Our particular family or lack thereof
Our particular health
GOD ...
still love us, immeasurably, incomparably, and with all the Fire of His Eternal Being.
SO ...
like this brave and confident little Irish plant gripping into the cement of this Dublin wall
(where does it get its nutrition?)
LET ...
us bloom where we are planted!
