TREE OF LIFE
A large tree before a church door often symbolises strength, stability and spiritual growth. The tree represents the connection between the Divine and the earthly. It serves as a reminder of God's provision, as well as the nurturing aspect of faith. The tree invites worshippers to reflect upon their relationship with God.
Tree of Life
In Eden's garden, long ago,
A tree stood, tall, in gentle glow.
Its fruit gave life, eternal, true,
A promise of what God would do.
Ages passed, and timber grew,
To bear the Lord Who made all new.
Christ-carpenter carved wood with love,
While planning mercy from above.
Upon that tree, the Saviour gave
His Life to rescue, heal and save.
Upon the wood, God's mercy shone;
He claimed the world again His own.
In John's great vision, a Tree stood high,
The Tree of Life in heaven's sky.
Its leaves do heal, the fruits delight,
All who reach celestial light.
Jesus, the Living Tree, did say,
I am the Life, the holy Way.
I am the Vine, cling fast to Me,
Then fruitful branches you will be.
We are the boughs, by grace made strong,
Bearing His fruit our whole life long.
Christ nourishes us, He makes us grow,
In every season, His love we know.
Let us stand, like trees in truth,
Rooted in Christ, in age, in youth.
Until we reach heaven's blessed shore,
To praise our King forevermore.
Rooted in grace, living in Christ, moving towards Eternity
